Louisville’s Financial Planning Team

A Fiduciary Advisory Firm

Jon Hicks headshot

Jon Hagan Hicks, MBA, MSFS, CEPA

Chief Executive Officer

For more than twenty-five years, Jon Hicks has helped families navigate the most consequential financial decisions of their lives. Today he leads J. Hagan Capital, an independent, fee-based fiduciary firm with offices in Kentucky, Texas, and Louisianna. He has personally guided thousands of families through retirement income planning, tax strategy, and the behavioral side of financial decision-making – the part most advisors overlook.

Backed by advanced degrees and widespread media recognition, Jon is a leading voice in personal finance and retirement strategy. Jon’s insights on retirement and financial planning have been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and Yahoo! Finance, as well as in Fortune, Fox Business, Money, and Accounting Today. He is the published author of The Retirement Solution and The Money You Keep, and holds an MBA in Finance, a Master of Science in Financial Services, and a graduate certificate in Accounting.

Jon brings elite exit planning expertise to founders, entrepreneurs, and seasoned executives. As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) – a designation held by a small fraction of advisors nationally and built specifically around the sale of a business – Jon works closely with business owners and real estate entrepreneurs, including many in the energy sector, to help them exit on their own terms: minimizing taxes, protecting what they’ve built, and turning a lifetime of equity into a retirement plan that actually works.

Jon started his career before the dot-com crash, an experience that shaped his conviction that coordinated planning – not simple money management – is what separates retirees who thrive from those who worry. That conviction is at the heart of The Money You Keep, the book he spent twenty-five years living before he ever sat down to write it – less a theory of investing than a record of what actually keeps families secure through market cycles, career changes, and retirement itself.

When he’s not working with clients, Jon can usually be found on a golf course or pickleball court with his family, or in the kitchen, where he insists that cooking is the most underrated stress reliever in existence.

Cameron Wisley, CRPC™, APMA®|

Retirement Planning

Cameron Wisley is a Retirement Planner at J. Hagan Capital with eight years in the financial services industry. Cameron specializes in income planning and portfolio management, helping clients turn a lifetime of savings into a retirement plan they can actually rely on.

He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC™), trained specifically in the strategies that carry a retirement income plan through changing markets, and an Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor℠ (APMA®), focused on building and managing portfolios aligned to a client’s goals. He is fully securities licensed and holds life and health insurance licenses as well.

Cameron’s commitment to this work is personal. Growing up, he watched two sides of his own family live out two very different retirements — one shadowed by constant financial strain, the other secured by decades of careful planning. The contrast never left him.

It came into sharper focus in 2008, when he watched his grandparents struggle through the financial crisis. The fear of watching a lifetime of savings hang in the balance, and the relief of coming through it because someone had planned for the unexpected. That’s the work Cameron does now: making sure the families he serves never have to face retirement with that kind of fear.

Cameron earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University. Outside the office, he’s a proud pet parent to two rescue dogs, Leo and Lila, and enjoys staying active and spending time with family, friends, and his local community.
